Panto on ice is a hit

Dickens was brought to life at John Nike Leisuresport, Bracknell, in December, in the form of the festive pantomime ‘A Christmas Carol
on Ice’, to the delight of customers who flocked in to watch the show.

Patrick Renn, Complex Manager, said:“Ticket sales equalled last year’s high levels and visitors were treated to the best show for some time. In Jon Bonny’s first year as director, the skating was very
high quality and the production was very well organised.”

Polo, the John Nike Leisuresport polar bear mascot, received a great reception on his first appearance at the pantomime. He greeted members of the audience before and after the show as well as popping up during the action.

Over the five-day run, £700 was collected for the Network for Surviving Stalking, the chosen charity of the Nike Group of Companies.

Lyndon School is one of several in the local area where children can select skiing as one of their physical education activities. They attend the centre each week for training from Ryan Grewcock, one of the centre’s instructors.
